Recruitment Announcement for Postdoctoral Research Station of Environmental Science and Engineering

The Postdoctoral Research Station of Environmental Science and Engineering at Nanchang University was established in 2009. Relying on research platforms including the School of Resources and Environment, the Key Laboratory of Poyang Lake Environment and Resource Utilization, Ministry of Education, the Engineering Research Center of Basin Carbon Neutrality, Ministry of Education, and the Jiangxi Institute of Ecological Civilization, the station is committed to building a high-level talent training, scientific research and social service base in the environmental field. The station currently has 32 professors and 21 doctoral supervisors. It is equipped with advanced experimental equipment and superior scientific research conditions, with a total construction area of 18,598 square meters for its experimental bases. In the past five years, it has undertaken more than 50 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, such as projects under the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Major Science and Technology Project for Water Pollution Control and Treatment, and international science and technology cooperation projects, with a total project funding of over 50 million yuan. More than ten provincial and ministerial awards have been won.

Applications are now openly invited from outstanding doctoral graduates at home and abroad for postdoctoral research positions in the following fields: Poyang Lake Ecological Environment Protection, Basin Carbon Neutrality, Resource Recycling and Pollution Prevention, Key Technologies and Equipment for Synergistic Pollution Reduction and Carbon Emission Reduction. I. Basic Qualifications

1. Abide by national laws and regulations, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and be devoted to education. Possess professional ethics, dedication, rigorous academic attitude, and the virtue of fostering morality and cultivating talents; be dedicated to the position and set a good example for students.

2. Hold a doctoral degree obtained within the past three years. Applicants shall be under 35 years old (inclusive). For faculty-track postdoctoral researchers, the age limit is under 30 years old. Qualifications can be appropriately relaxed for exceptionally outstanding candidates.

3. Have achieved remarkable scientific research achievements during the doctoral period. The research direction shall be consistent or basically consistent with that of the cooperative professor (supervisor). Have great development potential, with prospective, innovative and feasible research projects. Possess solid basic theories, and proficient foreign language and computer information technology application capabilities required by the position.

II. Employment and Management of Full-Time Postdoctoral Researchers

Applicants for full-time postdoctoral research positions can apply for different types of enrollment based on their academic performance and personal intentions. The remuneration for different types of postdocs shall be implemented in accordance with the latest version of the Measures for the Administration of Postdoctoral Researchers of Nanchang University.

III. Salary and Benefits

Full-time postdoctoral researchers (including foreign postdocs) are employed on an annual salary system. The comprehensive annual salary (pre-tax, including various national and provincial supporting awards and subsidies) starts from 220,000 to 350,000 yuan. According to the statistics of annual salaries of current in-service postdocs, the per capita annual salary is approximately 300,000 yuan, and the maximum can reach 800,000 yuan. The detailed benefits are as follows:

1. Benefits Provided by the University

• Annual Salary and Rental Subsidy: The annual salary system is implemented. Full-time postdocs renting off-campus housing are entitled to a monthly rental subsidy of 1,000 yuan; those living in university public rental housing receive a monthly rental subsidy of 600 yuan.

• Supervisor Training Fund: Cooperative supervisors are encouraged to provide an annual living subsidy of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per postdoc.
