The College of Resources and Environment has 8 research institutes under its jurisdiction:

• Institute of Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Process Equipment

• Institute of Atmospheric Environment and Pollution Control

• Institute of Biotechnology and Resource Recycling

• Institute of Ecological Industry and Industrial Ecology

• Institute of Water Supply and Drainage Security and Smart Technology

• Institute of Environmental Chemistry and Functional Materials

• Institute of Soil, Groundwater and Solid Waste

Centering on the regional ecological and environmental issues of Jiangxi Province and extending its reach nationwide, these 8 research institutes have undertaken a large number of national and provincial science and technology program projects. They play an important role in formulating regional comprehensive ecological and environmental protection development strategies, researching ecological and environmental protection technical policies and major ecological and environmental science and technology, as well as providing scientific basis and technical support for ecological and environmental management decision-making. The research institutes are capable of providing the society with research, development and promotion of practical ecological and environmental protection technologies such as pollution treatment, waste resource utilization and cleaner production processes; they can also undertake various consulting services related to ecological environment.
