Research Overview
With an interdisciplinary research background spanning metallurgy, environmental science, and materials, Dr. Li focuses on green extraction of non-ferrous metals, resource utilization of metallurgical solid wastes, and process optimization and simulation/modeling. In recent years, Dr. Li has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) of projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund and the Central South University Postdoctoral Research Fund, among others. Dr. Li has also contributed as a key R&D member to major programs, including a team grant under the Jiangxi Provincial “Qianren” (Thousand Talents) Program for the introduction and cultivation of high-level innovative and entrepreneurial talent, NSFC General Program projects, and industry–university–research collaborative initiatives. Dr. Li is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Scientist Award in metallurgical and mineral solid-waste valorization, holds the Administrative License for Special Equipment Operators and certificates from the National Continuing Professional Development Program for Professional and Technical Personnel, has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers, and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple leading journals.
