Introduction
The Postdoctoral Research Station of Environmental Science and Engineering at Nanchang University was approved for establishment in 2009. Relying on the national "211 Project" key discipline of Ecological Resources, the Key Laboratory of Poyang Lake Environment and Resource Utilization (Ministry of Education), the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Poyang Lake Comprehensive Management and Resource Development, the provincial key discipline of Environmental Engineering, and the doctoral program of the first-level discipline of Environmental Science and Engineering, the station has achieved a series of important scientific and technological outcomes, cultivated a large number of outstanding talents, built a stable and innovative teaching and research team, and established close cooperative and exchange ties with the international academic community.
Currently, the station has 32 professors, 21 doctoral supervisors, and 1 foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering. It boasts superior teaching conditions and advanced experimental equipment, with the total construction area of experimental bases reaching 18,598 square meters. The station is equipped with important experimental and teaching instruments and equipment, including the German Christ freeze dryer, the Swiss Metrohm Model 861 ion chromatograph, the American PE AA800 atomic absorption spectrometer, and the 6890N gas chromatograph.
Over the past five years, the station has undertaken 49 national, provincial and ministerial-level research projects, including National Science and Technology Support Program projects, National Science and Technology Major Projects for Water Pollution Control and Treatment, and international scientific and technological cooperation projects, with a total funding of nearly 50 million yuan.
