Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1  For the purpose of fully implementing the fundamental task of **moral education**, promoting the construction of a high-level talent training system, establishing a first-class undergraduate education with the characteristics of Nanchang University, cultivating socialist builders and successors with **patriotism, social responsibility, innovative spirit, global vision** and all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetic and labor education, better implementing the Ministry of Education's requirement of **"enrollment in accordance with the law"**, standardizing the enrollment work of Nanchang University, further carrying out the university **"Sunshine Enrollment" Project**, and effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the university and candidates, these Articles of Association are formulated in accordance with the relevant laws such as the *Education Law of the People's Republic of China* and the *Higher Education Law of the People's Republic of China*, the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education, and in combination with the actual situation of the university. Article 2  The university is named **Nanchang University**, with the university identification code of 4136010403. It is a public institution of higher education. Registered Address: No. 999 Xuefu Avenue, Honggutan District, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, Post Code: 330031. The competent administrative department of the university is the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province. Article 3  Nanchang University is a **Double First-Class** university under national construction, a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, and a university under the overall construction of first-class universities in Jiangxi Province. The university is authorized to confer bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, and has set up postdoctoral research stations. Article 4  The main categories of undergraduate enrollment of the university include: students participating in the national college entrance examination (including art majors, **National Special Program, Local Special Program, Soviet Area Special Program, Xinjiang inland senior high school class, separate enrollment plan for Southern Xinjiang of Xinjiang, and targeted enrollment for Kezhou of Xinjiang**); recommended students; candidates for sports training and recommended athletes; students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese (including **Joint Entrance Examination for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Students, students with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, recommended students from Macao, and Taiwan senior high school graduates admitted based on the results of the Taiwan University Entrance Examination Subject Ability Test** (hereinafter referred to as **"Taiwan Subject Ability Test Students"**)). Article 5  The enrollment work of the university shall implement the principles of **fair competition, impartial selection, and openness and transparency**, and adhere to the comprehensive assessment, comprehensive evaluation and merit-based admission of candidates' morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetic and labor education. Article 6  The **Nanchang University Enrollment Information Network** (http://zjc.ncu.edu.cn/zs) is the official website for the university's enrollment information disclosure, and **"Xiaonanxin"** is the official WeChat public account for the university's enrollment. The university releases relevant enrollment policies, enrollment plans and other information through the Enrollment Information Network and the "Xiaonanxin" WeChat public account, and provides services such as admission result inquiry. Article 7  The university's main campus, **Qianhu Campus**, is located at No. 999 Xuefu Avenue, Honggutan District, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province; **Qingshanhu Campus** is located at No. 235 Nanjing East Road, Qingshanhu District, Nanchang City; **Donghu Campus** is located at No. 461 Bayi Avenue, Donghu District, Nanchang City. # Chapter 2  Organization Structure Article 8  The university has established an **Admissions and Employment Work Leading Group**, which is composed of the Secretary of the Party Committee, the President, the university leaders in charge, the Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the heads of relevant functional departments. Its main responsibilities are to study and formulate the university's enrollment policies and discuss and decide on important matters concerning the university's enrollment work. Article 9  The **Admissions and Employment Office** of the university shall be specifically responsible for the enrollment work. Its main responsibilities are as follows: 1.  To implement the relevant national and Ministry of Education enrollment laws, regulations and policies, as well as the relevant enrollment policies of the enrollment competent departments of each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government, the same below). To implement the university's enrollment articles of association and the decisions of the university's Admissions and Employment Work Leading Group. 2.  To scientifically and rationally formulate and implement the province-specific and major-specific enrollment plans in accordance with the university's annual enrollment plan. 3.  To organize and carry out the university's enrollment publicity work, and do a good job in the release and consultation of enrollment information. 4.  To admit various candidates on behalf of the university and be responsible for handling various problems arising in the admission process. 5.  To re-examine the admission qualifications of the admitted freshmen in accordance with the relevant national regulations. Article 10  The **Commission for Discipline Inspection of the university** shall supervise the enrollment work. Supervision Hotline: 0791-83969025. # Chapter 3  Enrollment Plan Article 11  Within the annual enrollment scale approved by the state, the university shall scientifically and rationally formulate the source plans in accordance with the spirit of the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, the actual school-running conditions of the university, and in combination with the compilation and use of the province-specific and major-specific enrollment plans (hereinafter referred to as **source plans**) in recent years, taking into account such factors as the number of fresh senior high school graduates in each province, the proportion of candidates in each province to the total number of national applicants, the availability of high-quality educational resources, the quality of student sources, and the coordinated development of urban and rural areas and regions. Article 12  Within the annual enrollment scale approved by the state, the university shall reserve a plan of **no more than 1% of the total undergraduate enrollment plan**, which shall be used to admit candidates who are filed to our university beyond the 1:1 ratio of parallel voluntary applications and who are willing to accept major adjustment, so as to adjust the imbalance of student sources of candidates who have reached the college entrance examination score line in each province. Article 13  The university implements a **dynamic balance mechanism for major enrollment plans**. For majors with large social demand and good student sources, the enrollment plan may be appropriately increased; for basic disciplines or majors with good employment prospects but few applicants, certain measures may be taken to support them; for individual majors with small social demand and few applicants, the university may adjust their enrollment plans by reducing enrollment, enrolling students every other year, or suspending enrollment. Article 14  The province-specific and major-specific enrollment plans may be found in the enrollment brochures published by the local enrollment competent departments, or by consulting the enrollment information released by our university to the public. # Chapter 4  Entrance Examination (Assessment) Article 15  Candidates for the general college entrance examination must take the **National Unified College Entrance Examination for General Higher Education**; students from Xinjiang inland senior high school classes and students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese shall be admitted in accordance with the relevant national policies and the university's enrollment guidelines of the current year. Article 16  The university shall organize the selection and assessment tests for recommended students, Taiwan Subject Ability Test Students, etc. The test time, requirements and relevant matters shall be subject to the university's enrollment guidelines of the current year. # Chapter 5  Admission Rules Article 17  The admission work in the provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) implementing the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant documents of the respective provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government), and the candidates' comprehensive quality evaluation information shall be taken as the reference basis for admission. In the provinces adopting the **university major group** enrollment mode, within the major group to which the candidate is filed, admission shall be based on the filing scores in accordance with the principle of **"score priority, following the order of major preferences"** for merit-based admission. For candidates whose major preferences cannot be satisfied, if they are willing to accept major adjustment, the university shall adjust them to the under-enrolled majors within the same major group; for candidates who are not willing to accept major adjustment, their applications shall be rejected. For the liberal arts and science majors in the provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) not implementing the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination, admission shall be based on the candidates' filing scores in accordance with the principle of **"score priority, following the order of major preferences"** for merit-based admission. For candidates whose major preferences cannot be satisfied, if they are willing to accept major adjustment, the university shall adjust them to the under-enrolled majors; for candidates who are not willing to accept major adjustment, their applications shall be rejected. In the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, admission shall be carried out in accordance with the principle of **"ranking by major preferences within the scope of 1:1 enrollment plan"**. Article 18  The professional scores of the university's art majors shall adopt the scores of the corresponding art unified examinations (joint examinations) in the candidate's place of origin. Both the candidates' college entrance examination cultural scores and professional unified examination (joint examination) scores must reach the admission control scores of the corresponding batches specified by the local provinces. The major of **Musicology (Vocal Music)** only admits candidates majoring in vocal music (with vocal music as the main subject); the major of **Musicology (various instrumental music directions)** only admits candidates majoring in instrumental music (with instrumental music as the main subject) and whose instrumental music type is consistent with the corresponding one. The specific instrumental music types enrolled in each province shall be subject to the announcement of the local enrollment competent department. Admission to art majors shall be based on the filing and ranking principles specified by the provincial admission offices for merit-based admission. If there are no specified filing and ranking principles, admission shall be based on the comprehensive scores specified by the provincial admission offices for merit-based admission. In case of the same comprehensive score, ranking shall be conducted in turn according to the professional score and cultural score (including policy-based extra points) for merit-based admission. In case of the same professional score and cultural score, ranking shall be conducted according to the cultural score ranking principles specified by the provincial admission offices for merit-based admission. Article 19  Admission rules for the **Physical Education major**: For candidates admitted through the parallel voluntary application filing mode, the university shall implement the filing rules for such majors in the candidate's place of origin and admit candidates based on their filing scores for merit-based admission; for candidates admitted through the non-parallel voluntary application filing mode, admission shall be based on the candidates' professional scores from high to low for merit-based admission. In case of the same professional score, ranking shall be conducted according to the cultural score (including policy-based extra points). In case of the same cultural score, ranking shall be conducted according to the cultural score ranking principles specified by the provincial admission offices for merit-based admission. Article 20  The admission of recommended students, candidates for separate sports training enrollment, recommended athletes, students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese taking the Joint Entrance Examination, students with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, recommended students from Macao, and Taiwan Subject Ability Test Students shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant national documents and the relevant enrollment guidelines published by our university. Article 21  The admission of the National Special Program, Local Special Program, Soviet Area Special Program, Xinjiang inland senior high school class, separate enrollment plan for Southern Xinjiang of Xinjiang, and targeted enrollment for Kezhou of Xinjiang shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant policies. Article 22  The university shall recognize the preferential extra point policies of each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) during the admission process. Article 23  All candidates applying for our university must undergo a **physical examination** and truthfully fill in their past medical history. The physical examination standards shall be strictly implemented in accordance with the *Guidelines for Physical Examination Work in Enrollment of General Higher Education Institutions* issued by the Ministry of Education, the former Ministry of Health and the China Disabled Persons' Federation, and the *Notice on Further Standardizing the Physical Examination Items for Admission and Employment and Safeguarding the Admission and Employment Rights of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Carriers* issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Education and the former Ministry of Health and other relevant requirements. For candidates whose physical conditions do not meet the requirements of the applied major, the university shall be responsible for adjusting the candidate to other suitable majors; if the candidate refuses to accept the adjustment, their application shall be rejected. Article 24  For majors enrolled by category, students shall receive training by category after entering the university. In principle, in their sophomore year, students shall choose to study in the majors covered by the category in accordance with the regulations of the college. Students who meet the graduation and degree awarding requirements of the relevant majors upon graduation shall be awarded the graduation certificate and degree certificate. Article 25  For the **Nursing major**, it is recommended that male candidates have a height of **167CM or above** and female candidates have a height of **157CM or above**. Article 26  If a candidate has an **untrustworthy behavior** during the college entrance examination or has an untrustworthy record in the college entrance examination electronic file, our university may refuse to admit the candidate according to the specific situation. Article 27  In view of the fact that the Ministry of Education and various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) are carrying out various types of enrollment system reforms, if the above admission rules of our university conflict with the admission rules of the Ministry of Education and various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government), the admission rules published by the Ministry of Education and various provinces and cities shall prevail. # Chapter 6  Freshman Admission and Other Provisions Article 28  The university implements the **credit system** for tuition and accommodation fee collection, which shall be charged in accordance with the standards verified by the relevant documents of the Department of Education, Department of Finance and Price Bureau of Jiangxi Province. **Tuition Standards**: - Agriculture and forestry majors: 4,350 yuan per academic year - Liberal arts majors: 4,650 yuan or 4,950 yuan per academic year - Science and engineering, medical and physical education majors: 5,250 yuan or 5,550 yuan per academic year - Art majors: 12,000 yuan per academic year - Software Engineering and Cyberspace Security majors: 10,000 yuan per academic year - Architecture major: 9,000 yuan per academic year - Accounting (International Accountant) and Business Administration (Sino-French Experimental Class) majors: 14,000 yuan per academic year - Clinical Medicine (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education) major: 80,000 yuan per academic year For details, please refer to the website of the **Department of Planning and Finance of Nanchang University**. **Accommodation Standards**: According to different accommodation conditions, the fees are 800 yuan, 1,000 yuan and 1,200 yuan per academic year respectively. Article 29  Freshmen admitted in accordance with the national enrollment regulations shall hold the admission notice and go through the admission procedures at the university within the specified time limit in accordance with the relevant requirements of the university. Those who are unable to enroll on time due to special reasons shall ask for leave from the university. Those who do not ask for leave or exceed the leave period shall be deemed to have **abandoned their admission qualifications**, except for force majeure and other justifiable reasons. After freshmen enter the university, the university shall re-examine their admission qualifications within three months. For those who fail the re-examination, the university shall handle the matter according to the relevant national regulations, up to canceling their admission qualifications. Anyone found to have resorted to fraud shall have their admission qualifications or student status canceled once verified. Article 30  Freshmen majoring in art and physical education must participate in the professional re-examination organized by our university after entering the university. If it is found that their professional level is obviously not up to the admission requirements, or if they are verified to have committed fraud such as proxy examination, their admission qualifications shall be canceled and the matter shall be reported to the provincial enrollment competent department for serious handling. Article 31  The university has established a **financial aid policy system for college students from economically disadvantaged families**, which includes various forms such as the National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, National Grant, National Student Loan, work-study programs, and tuition reduction or exemption. College students from economically disadvantaged families can directly enter the university through the **Green Channel** opened by the university after being admitted. After enrollment, the university will verify their family's economic difficulties and provide financial assistance in various forms to help them complete their normal studies. Article 32  The university attaches importance to the cultivation of top innovative talents, and has set up **experimental classes** such as the Science and Engineering Basic Disciplines Experimental Class, Chinese Studies Experimental Class, Comprehensive Experimental Class, Artificial Intelligence Experimental Class, New Structural Economics Experimental Class, Rare Earth Experimental Class, New Functional Materials and Technology Experimental Class, Medical Innovation Experimental Class, and China Microelectronics Experimental Class. Freshmen who meet the selection criteria for the experimental classes may apply to transfer to the above experimental classes for study after passing the assessment upon enrollment. To encourage high-score candidates from Jiangxi Province to apply for our university, candidates who rank **top 6,000 in the Physics Subject Group, top 1,500 in the History Subject Group** in the college entrance examination of the whole province, and top 5 in the Mathematics single subject among the Physics Subject Group candidates of the university (if there are multiple candidates with the same score, the top 5 shall be selected according to the total score) may be exempted from the written test and directly participate in the interview of the experimental classes after admission. Article 33  After studying in the university for one semester, students who meet the requirements of the *Implementation Measures for Undergraduate Students' Major Transfer in Nanchang University* may apply for major transfer according to their own actual situation, but must pass the selection of the major to be transferred to. Students who complete the contents specified in the education and teaching plan within the prescribed study period of the university, achieve qualified scores and meet the university's graduation requirements shall be awarded the **Undergraduate Graduation Certificate of General Higher Education of Nanchang University**. Those who meet the degree awarding conditions shall be awarded the degree certificate. Article 34  **Nanchang University Fuzhou Medical College** has a separate enrollment code, named **Nanchang University (Fuzhou Medical College)**, with its campus located in Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It only enrolls students within Jiangxi Province, with admission batches including the **undergraduate early admission batch** (targeted medical students with employment orders in Fuzhou City, who need to sign a targeted employment agreement; for relevant application requirements, please log on to the websites of the Fuzhou Municipal Health Commission and Nanchang University Fuzhou Medical College for inquiry) and the undergraduate batch. During their studies, students are only allowed to apply for major transfer within Fuzhou Medical College in accordance with the Implementation Rules for Major Transfer of 2024 Undergraduate Students of Fuzhou Medical College.
