Introduction to the Research Group
Supervisor Profile
Professor Ping Zhang, doctoral supervisor, is a Leading Academic and Technical Talent of Major Disciplines in Jiangxi Province and a recipient of the Outstanding Youth Fund of Jiangxi Province. She has presided over more than 20 vertical research projects, including 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 Jiangxi Provincial Key R&D “Bidding and Leading” Project (with a funding of 1 million RMB), 1 Major Special Project of Agricultural Technology in Jiangxi Province (with a funding of 3.6 million RMB), 1 Key Program and 2 General Programs of Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation. She has also undertaken numerous horizontal research projects entrusted by enterprises and public institutions.
Professor Zhang has published more than 50 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, among which 31 papers are in top journals of the first quartile (Q1) and 9 papers have an impact factor greater than 10. She has been granted 4 national invention patents and 8 utility model patents.
In addition, she serves as a Distinguished Expert of the Jiangxi Provincial Pig Industry Technology System, a council member of the Mineral Materials Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society, and a council member of the Professional Committee on Mineral Functional Materials of the China Nonferrous Metals Society. She is the academic editor-in-chief of Industrial Water Treatment and Journal of Nanchang University (Science Edition), and a registered expert of multiple provincial departments, including the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Department of Ecology and Environment, Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Industry and Information Technology.
Her main research directions include:
Research and development of novel mineral-like materials and their application in water pollution control.
Research on high-value resource utilization technologies of livestock and poultry manure and their applications.
Advanced oxidation/reduction technologies.
Research on ecological and health toxicology, pollution control and resource utilization of microplastics in water bodies.
The research group is equipped with sufficient research funds and state-of-the-art instruments and equipment. Outstanding young talents are warmly welcomed to conduct postdoctoral research in the group, jointly promoting the progress of environmental protection and resource utilization research.
Recruitment Details
Position: Postdoctoral Researcher

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be born on or after January 1, 1990 (age 35 or below), with good physical and mental health. The doctoral degree must be obtained within 3 years, or the doctoral dissertation defense must have been completed.
Be honest and trustworthy, passionate about scientific research, courageous to take on key responsibilities, and possess excellent teamwork spirit.
Have published no less than 2 SCI papers in Q1 international high-level journals in relevant fields as the first author.
Applicants with research experience in advanced oxidation, environmental functional materials, material science, and agricultural resource utilization are preferred.
Commit to full-time postdoctoral research after being recruited, abide by national laws and regulations as well as university rules and regulations, and obey the management of the research group.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in the research of relevant projects and programs, and publish high-level academic papers.
Assist in supervising master’s and doctoral students.
Assist in the construction and management of the laboratory.
Actively apply for major research funding programs, including the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Postdoctoral researchers shall manage the allocated funding upon obtaining project support.
Position Benefits
The annual salary is no less than 242,000 RMB (pre-tax, including rental subsidy). The specific remuneration package is determined through consultation between the postdoctoral research station and the postdoctoral researcher. Eligible candidates can enjoy relevant postdoctoral policies stipulated in the Nine Policies for Postdoctoral Researchers of Jiangxi Province.
Full support will be provided for postdoctoral researchers to apply for national, provincial and municipal postdoctoral talent programs and research projects during their station stay. Successful applicants will enjoy the corresponding benefits on the principle of taking the higher standard.
Recruits are eligible to rent public rental housing for university faculty after joining the group.
Household registration procedures will be handled in accordance with postdoctoral administration policies of Jiangxi Province and relevant policies of Nanchang City. Postdoctoral researchers who remain employed in Nanchang after completing their postdoctoral research are entitled to relevant postdoctoral policies under the Ten New Talent Policies of Nanchang.
