Environmental Testing Center, Nanchang University

Established in April 2017, the Environmental Testing Center of Nanchang University is an university-level independent scientific research institution, as well as a third-party testing organization without independent legal person status. It was founded to adapt to the rapid development of environmental protection undertakings, meet the needs of social development, and provide the public with scientific, impartial, satisfactory and accurate environmental testing data as a socialized third-party testing body.

Located in the Environmental Building of Qianhu Campus, Nanchang University, the center covers a laboratory area of 1,059 square meters. It has a team of 52 professional technical and administrative staff, including 23 senior-title holders, 26 intermediate-title holders, 32 PhD degree holders and 17 master’s degree holders. Most of the staff have years of experience in environmental testing, forming a team of testers equipped with solid basic theories and rich testing experience. The center is furnished with more than 149 sets of advanced sampling and analytical instruments and equipment, mainly including gas chromatographs, atomic absorption spectrometers, gas chromatography-mass spectrometers, ion chromatographs, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometers, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometers, high-performance liquid chromatographs, atomic fluorescence spectrometers, infrared oil analyzers, particulate matter samplers and analyzers, ambient air samplers, portable dual-channel multi-parameter analyzers, and precision noise spectrum analyzers.
