II. Work Procedures

(I) Online Registration Period

November 12, 2025 – December 20, 2025Applicants shall log in to the Nanchang University Graduate Application Service System (Website: http://gsas.ncu.edu.cn), truthfully fill in and submit the registration information, and pay the registration fee of 300 yuan (the registration fee is non-refundable once paid).

(II) Material Submission Deadline, Venue and Contact Person

  1. On-site Submission: Place all materials in a file bag and deliver them directly to Room C313, Graduate Work Office, School of Resources and Environment, Nanchang University (Qianhu Campus).

  2. Express Delivery: To ensure timeliness and security, please use SF Express to send materials to the following address: School of Resources and Environment, Nanchang University, No. 999 Xuefu Avenue, Honggutan District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. After sending the package, please track the delivery status and confirm receipt with the School.

III. Requirements for Submitting Application Materials

(I) Required Application Materials (Including Electronic Versions)

  1. Original copies of the Registration Form for Applying for Doctoral Program at Nanchang University and Eligibility Review Form for Doctoral Program Applicants of Nanchang University (including expert recommendation letters, ideological and political review forms, etc.).

    • A. Current non-oriented master’s students of Nanchang University: Certification issued by the respective School of the University.

    • B. Current non-oriented master’s students of other universities/institutions: Certification issued by the Graduate School (Department) of their host institution.

    • C. Other applicants: Signature and official seal of the person-in-charge of the personnel department (or archive management department).

    • The Registration Form can be downloaded as an electronic version after completing online registration in the Graduate Application Service System; please print and sign it after verifying that all information is correct.

    • The Eligibility Review Form is available for download in the "Download Center" section of the Nanchang University Graduate School website or via the Graduate Application Service System.

    • Unit Certification/Opinion Requirements:

    • Expert Recommendation Letters: Must be signed by hand by at least two professors (or experts with equivalent professional titles) in the discipline or field of the applied program.

    • Ideological and Political Review Form: Must be filled out and stamped by the grass-roots organization department of the applicant’s unit.

  2. Educational Background and Degree Certificates

    • Applicants with a Master’s Degree: Copies of undergraduate graduation certificate, bachelor’s degree certificate, master’s academic transcript, master’s graduation certificate and master’s degree certificate (one copy each). In addition, provide the electronic registration form of undergraduate and postgraduate academic backgrounds, as well as the certification reports of bachelor’s and master’s degrees. For applicants with overseas academic qualifications, submit the foreign degree certification report issued by the Service Center for Chinese-Foreign Education Cooperation, Ministry of Education.

    • Final-year Master’s Students: Copies of undergraduate graduation certificate and bachelor’s degree certificate (one copy each); master’s academic transcript, student ID card, and certification issued by the postgraduate management department. In addition, provide the electronic registration form of undergraduate academic background, bachelor’s degree certification report and online verification report of postgraduate student status.

    • Applicants Admitted to Postgraduate Program with a College Diploma: Provide the college academic background registration form, postgraduate academic background registration form and master’s degree certification report.

    • Academic Background Verification: Student status verification report (for final-year students) / academic background verification report (for graduates) can be obtained from the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESICC).

    • Degree Verification: Degree verification report (for graduates) can be obtained from CHESICC.

  3. Master’s Thesis (attached with evaluation forms or appraisal reports), which must be provided during the comprehensive assessment. Final-year master’s students and integrated master-doctorate students are exempted from this requirement.

  4. Foreign Language Proficiency Certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, CET-4, CET-6, or a passing score in the English proficiency test organized uniformly by Nanchang University, etc.).

    • For applicants who need to take the university-organized English proficiency test: The test covers four sections—vocabulary and structure, reading comprehension, English-Chinese translation and writing—with a full score of 100. Please take the test in accordance with relevant notices.

  5. A research proposal for the doctoral program to be pursued, which must be reviewed and approved by the prospective supervisor (word count: no less than 5,000 words).

  6. A self-evaluation statement.

  7. A copy of the applicant’s second-generation ID card.

  8. Copies of publicly published papers (monographs), scientific research achievement certificates, and award certificates obtained during studies or work.

All hard copies of the above application materials (consistent with electronic versions) must be mailed or delivered to the School for review within the specified time. Submitted materials will not be returned.

(II) Notes on Submitting Electronic Materials

Submission of electronic application materials is a key part of online registration. All attachments must be uploaded in PDF format with clear and legible content.
Applications will be deemed invalid if applicants fail to fill in registration information, submit electronic materials or pay the registration fee in accordance with the requirements.
