The School Holds a Teaching and Research Demonstration Exchange Activity on the Application of "Xi Jinping Thought on Culture Lecture Hall"

To further promote the learning, application, teaching and research demonstration as well as exchanges of the "Xi Jinping Thought on Culture Lecture Hall", on the morning of December 1, Associate Professor Deng Teng, a Distinguished Teacher of Nanchang University and Leader of a Provincial - level Model Course on Ideological and Political Education, delivered a lecture themed Interpretation and Application of the Pressure Vessel Design Standard GB/T150 - 2024. In his lecture, he introduced the innovative ideological and political education model of "industry - education coordination and integration of professionalism and ideology" carried out in cooperation with Hangyang Group, with ideological and political education in courses as the starting point. He presented an undergraduate public class that integrated professional norms with ideological and political education, which was observed and learned on - site by more than 30 teachers.

At the beginning of the class, Teacher Deng Teng introduced the basic information of Hangyang Group—a national base for the localization of major technical equipment and a leading enterprise in air separation equipment. He also organized students to watch a teaching video on pressure vessel manufacturing recorded at the workplace by Liu Jiang, a senior engineer of the group. In the video, Engineer Liu explained in detail the structure and manufacturing process of key components such as heat exchanger cylinders, dished ends and heat exchanger tube bundles with physical objects, enabling students to form an intuitive and in - depth understanding of chemical equipment.

Subsequently, focusing on the GB/T150 Pressure Vessels standard, Teacher Deng Teng systematically expounded the design methods for internal pressure vessels from the aspects of material selection, determination of design parameters, and design calculation of cylinders and dished ends. He guided students to conduct group discussions with engineering cases, so as to strengthen their ability in knowledge application and team cooperation.

This public class adopted a diversified teaching model of "teacher - led teaching + enterprise mentors + on - site scenes", and actively practiced the concept of "the unity of knowledge and practice" in Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. It achieved a seamless connection from theory to practice and from classroom to on - site work.
