With clear goals and in-depth docking, this series of activities achieved substantial results across multiple dimensions.

(I) Breakthrough Progress in University-Enterprise Cooperation and Job Expansion via Corporate Visits

The delegation conducted in-depth research on enterprises in several national strategic emerging industries, including environmental protection technology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, and petrochemical integration services, gaining precise insights into the latest industry technological trends and talent demand characteristics.

  1. Effective Expansion of Employment Opportunities

Positive intentions were reached with all 8 visited enterprises regarding the recruitment of graduates from Nanchang University, especially those majoring in relevant disciplines of the School of Resources and Environment. Responsible persons of various enterprises (such as Dr. Zhan Yibin of Shanghai Zhuoran, Peng Haiquan of Jiangsu Shenchu, and General Manager Shu Xueyan of Beep Palolo) clearly expressed their eagerness to recruit outstanding students from Nanchang University, opening up new high-quality employment markets for graduates of the Class of 2026 and beyond. As an alumni-founded enterprise, Shanghai Naham Fluid Technology Co., Ltd. expressed a strong desire to attract talents from its alma mater.

  2. Solid Establishment of Internship Bases

The official inauguration of the "Nanchang University Undergraduate Internship Base" at Beep Palolo Jiangsu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. marked a new stage of institutionalization and normalization for university-enterprise cooperation. In addition to hosting student graduation internships, the base will also carry out joint research on graduation design topics and enterprise technical challenges, achieving in-depth integration of teaching and practice.

  3. Continuous Deepening of Cooperation Connotations

Exchanges with enterprises went beyond simple recruitment demand matching, delving into the innovation of talent training models and the exploration of industry-education integration mechanisms. For example, discussions with Shanghai Zhuoran covered the possibility of joint university-enterprise talent training and customized courses; forward-looking topics were explored with Beep Palolo and Nantong CIMC Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., such as transforming real enterprise projects into graduation design topics and collaborating on graduate-level continuing education for enterprise technical personnel, laying out a blueprint for building long-term, stable and mutually beneficial strategic university-enterprise cooperation partnerships.

  4. Construction of Regional Cooperation Platforms

The forum with the Management Committee of Rudong Economic and Technological Development Zone (High-tech Zone) was of strategic significance. The school expressed gratitude for the district’s strong support for its graduation internship work in previous years, and leaders of the committee including Secretary Chen Wuxia clearly stated their continued welcome to Nanchang University students for internships, employment and living in the district, promising to provide a platform for university-enterprise cooperation docking. This move opened a channel for cooperation with the entire regional industrial cluster, facilitating bulk matching of enterprise needs within the park and achieving economies of scale in employment and cooperation.

(II) Key Steps Taken in Alumni Liaison and Organization Building

The alumni forum organized in Shanghai was a highlight of this activity, successfully uniting the wisdom and strength of alumni working in various fields in Shanghai.

  1. Building Consensus and Proposing the Establishment of a Shanghai Alumni Association

Participants included outstanding alumni representatives from environmental protection enterprises, trading companies, research institutes, institutions of higher learning, government agencies and other fields. They fondly reviewed the training process and development achievements of their alma mater and the school, and reached a unanimous consensus that the establishment of the "Nanchang University School of Resources and Environment Shanghai Alumni Association" is highly necessary and significant. This organization will be committed to strengthening connections among alumni in Shanghai, promoting information sharing, resource pooling and career mutual assistance, and building a spiritual home and development booster for alumni.

  2. Promoting Pragmatic Progress and Setting Up Professional Alumni Liaison Offices

To efficiently advance the preparation and subsequent operation of the alumni association, the forum made a pragmatic decision to first set up two professional alumni liaison offices:

    • The "Process Equipment and Control Engineering Professional Alumni Liaison Office" was established at Shanghai Naham Fluid Technology Co., Ltd., with Luo Xiaoqiu, General Manager of the company and an alumnus of the Class of 2001 majoring in Process Equipment and Control Engineering, serving as the person in charge.

    • The "Environmental Engineering Professional Alumni Liaison Office" was established at Shanghai Ascent Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., with Jiang Wenhua, General Manager of the company, as the person in charge.

Both responsible persons stated that they will fully devote themselves to alumni liaison work and contribute to the establishment and development of the school’s alumni association. This liaison office model, based on professional ties and enterprise support, features strong pertinence and ease of activity organization, laying a solid organizational foundation for the formal establishment and effective operation of the alumni association in the future.

  1. Fostering Emotional Resonance and Strengthening Alma Mater Identity

The forum was held in a lively atmosphere, where alumni shared their respective growth experiences and industry insights, expressing deep affection for their alma mater and a willingness to give back. The activation of alumni resources not only provides valuable career guidance and internship opportunities for current students, but also introduces a strong external support network for the school’s development and university-enterprise cooperation.

(III) Significant Enhancement of the School’s Image and Influence

Led personally by Secretary Wang Likun, the delegation went deep into the economically vibrant Yangtze River Delta region, taking the initiative to engage with enterprises and alumni, fully demonstrating the School of Resources and Environment’s distinctive orientation and pragmatic style of open education, active integration into social and economic construction, and high attention to student employment and alumni work.

  1. Showcasing the School’s Strength and Talent Quality

In-depth exchanges with enterprises have won recognition for the school’s professional characteristics and talent training quality. The positive attitude of enterprises towards cooperating with the school and recruiting its graduates is an affirmation of the school’s educational achievements.

  2. Conveying the School’s Care and Development Vision

Interactions with alumni conveyed the school’s continuous attention and support for alumni development, enhancing alumni’s sense of belonging. Meanwhile, the school’s solicitation of alumni suggestions on talent training and discipline construction will help continuously improve its educational standards.

  3. Expanding the External Cooperation Network

This activity intensively connected with a number of high-quality enterprises, an important industrial park and a group of influential alumni, significantly expanding the school’s "circle of friends" in the Yangtze River Delta region and laying the groundwork for future cooperation in broader fields such as scientific research collaboration, achievement transformation and social services.

III. Experience Summary and Future Outlook

This trip to Shanghai and Nantong was a well-planned, efficiently executed and fruitful external exchange and development activity. Its successful experience lies in: high-level leadership attention and personal promotion; clear and diversified goals with overall consideration; adequate preliminary preparation and precise docking; and diverse activity forms focusing on practical results.

The successful holding of the activity has laid a solid foundation and provided a clear direction for the school’s next work:

  1. Promote the Implementation of Cooperation Intentions: Assign dedicated personnel to follow up on the intentions reached with various enterprises regarding graduate recommendation, internship arrangements and project cooperation, translating them into specific agreements, plans and actions to ensure that all achievements are fully secured.

  2. Accelerate the Preparation Process of the Alumni Association: Taking the establishment of the two professional alumni liaison offices in Shanghai as a starting point, actively assist responsible persons such as Luo Xiaoqiu and Jiang Wenhua to speed up the formal registration of the "Nanchang University School of Resources and Environment Shanghai Alumni Association" and the preparation for its founding meeting, and explore the establishment of similar liaison mechanisms in other regions with concentrated alumni.

  3. Deepen the Exploration of Industry-Education Integration Models: Taking the newly established internship base as a platform, further explore the integrated training model of "graduation internship + graduation design + employment orientation", promote the involvement of enterprise mentors in classrooms and industrial projects in courses, and build a long-term mechanism for university-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation.

  4. Expand the Depth and Breadth of Regional Cooperation: Consolidate ties with industrial parks such as Rudong Economic and Technological Development Zone, explore the establishment of a tripartite cooperation platform of "park-school-enterprise", and carry out deeper cooperation in joint talent recruitment, joint technological research and development, and centralized student internships.

  5. Establish a Normalized Exchange Mechanism: Institutionalize and normalize such concentrated activities of corporate visits for job expansion and alumni liaison, while maintaining daily communication with newly added cooperative enterprises and alumni to achieve dynamic resource maintenance and continuous information updates.

Secretary Wang Likun’s leadership of this delegation was not only an intensive external exchange trip, but also a strategic initiative demonstrating the school’s determination for development and expanding future development space. It successfully sowed the seeds of cooperation and friendship in the Yangtze River Delta region, achieving solid results in three aspects: expanding the employment market, deepening university-enterprise cooperation, and uniting alumni forces. Building on this, the school will continue to carry out similar work in cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen and Hangzhou. Taking such activities as an opportunity, the school will earnestly summarize experience, pay close attention to the implementation of follow-up work, and effectively transform the fruitful achievements into a strong driving force for improving talent training quality, promoting high-quality student employment, and advancing the connotative development of the school, laying a more solid foundation for the school’s leapfrog development in the new era.
