发布时间:2025-11-24
In response to the national innovation-driven development strategy, and focusing on fostering an on-campus atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship as well as cultivating the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial capabilities of teachers and students, our school invited Dean Huang Chunhong and his delegation from the University School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to a forum held in Conference Room C304 of the Environmental Building on the afternoon of November 24, 2025. Attendees included Vice Dean Li Kun of our school, Director Liu Jun and Deputy Director Jin Feng of the Student Engineering Practice and Innovation Center, along with representatives of teachers and students of the school.
At the forum, Director Liu Jun introduced the progress made by the school in innovation and entrepreneurship activities in recent years. Relying on two platforms—the Process Equipment Practice and Innovation Base and the Student Engineering Practice and Innovation Center—the school has further advanced the exploration of the "Party Building + Emerging Engineering Education" talent cultivation model. It has achieved continuous breakthroughs in discipline competitions, winning a number of provincial and above-level awards, and successfully hosted several national-level events, laying a solid practical foundation for innovation and entrepreneurship education.

Subsequently, Dean Huang Chunhong delivered a report themed "Topic Selection and Competition Preparation Strategies for the 2026 China International College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition". Drawing on his experience in innovation and entrepreneurship education and competition guidance, Huang Chunhong shared insights from four dimensions: cultivation of innovative thinking, identification of entrepreneurial opportunities, logic of team building, and paths of resource integration. He systematically interpreted the track settings of the China International College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, including the core positioning and differences among the Higher Education Main Track, the Industry Proposition Track, and the International Track.
In light of the disciplinary characteristics of the School of Resources and Environment, Huang Chunhong highlighted the resource advantages of platforms such as the Institute of Ecological Civilization and the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for River Basin Carbon Neutrality, advising students to explore topic selection directions based on their professional fields. Taking the "Ocean Green Weaving" seagrass bed ecological restoration project as a case study, he analyzed the project’s technological innovations and application value in addressing ocean desertification, providing a reference for students in topic selection. In addition, Huang Chunhong elaborated on the ten core modules of a business plan, covering key content such as project overview, market analysis, technical feasibility, and financial forecasting, offering practical guidance for participating students. He also encouraged students to focus on the "Four New Frontiers" (new technologies, new industries, new forms of business, new models) and the "AI +" direction to tap into the potential of interdisciplinary innovation.

During the interactive discussion session, participating teachers and students raised questions on core topics including project topic selection, patent application and protection, financing channels for start-ups, and the balance between academic studies and entrepreneurship. Dean Huang Chunhong and on-site tutors responded to each question one by one, providing targeted suggestions with practical cases, creating a lively atmosphere for on-site exchanges.
This forum is a concrete practice of the School of Resources and Environment to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education and implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and nurturing talents. The event not only built a bridge for students to communicate directly with experts in innovation and entrepreneurship, but also further strengthened the guiding atmosphere for on-campus innovation and exploration. Moving forward, the School of Resources and Environment will continue to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship education system, expand the resources of practical platforms, and provide comprehensive support for enhancing students' innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities.
