Research Overview

Biotechnology is employed to treat industrial flue gas and convert harmful flue gas into high-value biomass products.Key research contents include: identifying the rate-limiting environmental factors for large-scale microalgal CO₂ fixation; revealing the regulatory mechanism of light quality on microalgal carbon fixation efficiency; and designing novel photobioreactors.A demonstration base for microalgae cultivation using real flue gas CO₂ from coal-fired power plants has been established, which comprehensively improves the efficiency of industrial carbon fixation.More than 10 papers have been published in leading international journals including Bioresource Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Chemosphere.
