field of investigation

Environmental Geochemistry

Research Overview

On one hand, using stable isotope tracing technology and material cycling theory, the research explores the regulatory effects of seasonal water level fluctuations on hydrological connectivity, nutrient sources, and biogeochemical processes, clarifies the driving mechanism of these fluctuations on the nitrogen and carbon stable isotope compositions of primary productivity carriers (such as suspended particulate organic matter, surface sediments, and aquatic plants), and provides a geochemical basis for nitrogen pollution control and ecological protection of floodplain lakes. On the other hand, focusing on traffic-related aerosol pollution, the research clarifies the chemical composition characteristics, emission rules, and migration/transformation paths of traffic-related aerosols through component analysis, so as to support the accurate source apportionment and control of atmospheric aerosol pollution.
