Research Overview

The research focuses on the high-value utilization of solid waste, with expertise in the innovative development of environmental remediation materials based on the "instantaneous Joule heating" green technology, as well as pollution control and resource recovery research. The applicant has published over 30 SCI articles, including first author or corresponding author publications in high-level journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications, One Earth (a sister journal of Cell), and Engineering (the journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering). Related work has been widely reported by Science News and in German science videos for high school students (https://www.sciencenews.org/article/disinfectant-sawdust-kill-deadly-microbes-sustainable). Four invention patents have been applied for, two of which have been granted. The applicant has led five national and provincial/ministerial-level research projects and participated in national key R&D projects and National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. The applicant serves as a youth editorial board member for journals and a reviewer for several journals.
