Resource Recycling Science and Engineering is an emerging discipline urgently needed for the development of strategically emerging industries encouraged by the state. It plays a vital role in building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, and professionals in this field are in great demand to support the vigorous development of the country’s emerging industries. The main courses offered by the program include: Introduction to Resource Recycling Science and Engineering, Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering, Fundamentals of Microbiology and Biochemistry, Waste Resource Utilization Technology, Industrial Ecology, Principles of Separation Engineering, Biomass Science and Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Sewage Treatment and Recycling, Solid Waste Treatment, Disposal and Resource Utilization, Resource Recycling Processes and Equipment, Introduction to Circular Economy, etc.
After graduation, students will become innovative and interdisciplinary engineering application talents with the concept of circular economy. They will basically master the theories, knowledge and skills required in the national resource recycling field, and possess the ability to propose and solve challenging problems in macro decision-making, major engineering R&D, as well as micro operation design and practice. Graduates can grow into core backbone talents working at the government management level of national economy, enterprise decision-making and operation level, technology development and promotion level, as well as scientific research and education level. Outstanding graduates are eligible for exemption from the entrance examination for postgraduate studies.
