Building dreams in RES, pursuing dreams in the future. On the morning of June 10, the Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences (RES) was held in the Lecture Hall of the Science and Biology Building on the Qianhu Campus. Nearly 300 people attended the ceremony, including members of the school's home leadership team, faculty representatives, counselors of all grades, all graduates, as well as some parent representatives and alumni representatives. Distinguished guests such as Liu Jianguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, and Zou Xin, Director of the Atmospheric Environment Department of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and alumnus of the 1991 Environmental Engineering program, graced the ceremony. The graduation ceremony was hosted by Bai Xiaowu, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee.

Prologue - Warm-up Memories

During the prologue, a warm-up video was played, and student representatives sent sincere blessings to the graduates with songs. The ceremony kicked off with the solemn playing of the national anthem.
Vice Dean Peng Honggen read out The Decision on Commending the Outstanding Graduates of the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences of the 2025 Class.
Peng Honggen announced The Decision on Commending the Outstanding Graduates of the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences of the 2025 Class, and awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Graduate" to 13 postgraduates including Wang Jiarui and 26 undergraduates including Cai Yining on the spot. He commended their outstanding achievements in academic studies, scientific research, and social practice, aiming to encourage more RES students to strive continuously.

Cai Yining and Wang Jiarui respectively looked back on their study and life experiences in RES. In their speeches, they expressed sincere gratitude for the university's cultivation, stating that they would always cherish the original aspiration and dreams of RES people, and stride forward to a broader world with the knowledge and courage endowed by the school, as well as the entrustment and expectations of teachers.

Liu Xiaozhen said, "We should have a grateful heart, uphold our inner conscience, and make more contributions to the country; we should always maintain enthusiasm for learning, keep pace with the times, and uphold the spirit of continuous progress at all times; we should face uncertainties calmly, for setbacks and changes are normal in life. You may face various choices, but please remember: truly successful people come from a group that accumulates over time. Only with full preparation can you make your efforts count!"

Parent Representative's Speech

Ms. Niu Daoping expressed deep gratitude to all teachers of the school. She hoped that all graduates would always maintain a positive attitude, bravely meet every challenge and seize every opportunity; uphold their original aspirations and dreams, keep their feet on the ground, and move forward towards their goals step by step.

Alumnus Representative's Speech

Zou Xin, Alumnus of the 1991 Environmental Engineering Program
Combining his academic and work experience, alumnus Zou Xin shared three profound insights with the students: First, make good use of the treasure of youth. "Youth is the best original stock in life", and we should be the "chief investment officers" of our own lives. Second, adhere to lifelong learning. "Society is the real examination room". We should learn from books, others and failures, and let our growth be determined by ourselves. Third, love life. Choose to love life even after recognizing its truth. Love makes you more creative, resilient, and influential to others.

The graduates presented flowers full of sincere gratitude to the frontline teachers and teaching support staff of the school, thanking them for their constant care for students and hard work for the school.

Wang Likun, Secretary of the School Party Committee, accepted the painting Peaches and Plums All Over the World on behalf of the school. All graduates wished the school to cultivate more talents and thrive day by day.

Dean Shi Lei's Speech

Shi Lei said, "We are in an era of rapid technological development. As a strategic technology leading the future, artificial intelligence is changing our way of life and work at an unprecedented speed. The school is the harbor where you set sail to pursue your dreams. We hope you will actively embrace the new era and new changes, pursue your dreams in the future with greater enthusiasm and firm faith, and forge ahead bravely in the tide of the new era."

Speech by Liu Jianguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department

On behalf of the university, Liu Jianguang extended his blessings to the graduates. He praised that RES students are inherently endowed with the "fragrance of soil" and "vision of stars", embodying the composite characteristics of pragmatism and idealism. He also sent sincere messages to the graduates: We should keep the "national priorities" in mind and strive to be the vanguard of the times in building ecological civilization; we should uphold "profound academic attainments" and strive to be experts in our professional fields; we should always maintain "tenacious character" and courageously be the mainstay in overcoming challenges and storms.

The graduation ceremony drew to a close with all teachers and students singing Ode to the Motherland in unison.

Degree Awarding Ceremony

During the degree awarding ceremony, the graduates walked onto the stage one by one, and the school's supervisor team turned the tassels for them personally and awarded them degree certificates.
