Li Kun

Li Kun, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in November 1988, and his ancestral home is Yongfeng, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences) with a doctoral degree in Engineering, majoring in Environmental Engineering. Currently, he serves as Vice Dean of the College of Resources and Environment, Nanchang University.

His research mainly focuses on advanced wastewater treatment and resource recovery. He has presided over and completed more than 10 national and provincial-level research projects. He has published over 40 academic papers in renowned domestic and international journals, among which 27 are included in SCI, 24 are first-author or corresponding-author papers, 1 is a highly cited paper with 413 times of non-self citations for this single paper, a total citation count of 2,313, and an h-index of 18. Additionally, he has presented 12 papers at domestic and international academic conferences. He has guided students to win 5 national and provincial-level awards, and has filed 5 national patents (3 of which have been authorized).
He acts as a reviewer for a number of domestic and international academic journals, an evaluation expert for national fund projects, a project evaluation expert of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, a member of Jiangxi Provincial Water Eco-Environment Expert Database, a liaison of Jiangxi Environmental Science Society at Nanchang University, and a director of Jiangxi Zhenghe Academy of Agriculture and Rural Carbon Neutrality.
His honors include the Second-Class Award for Excellent Papers from Jiangxi Environmental Science Society in 2021, the title of "Young Model Worker" of Nanchang University in 2021, and the title of Excellent Undergraduate Class Advisor of Nanchang University for the academic years 2016–2017, 2019–2020, and 2021–2022.
