​Peng Honggen

Peng Honggen, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in September 1981 in Yichun, Jiangxi Province. He is a Professor, PhD Supervisor, Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program (Youth) Project, and Member of the Academic Committee of Nanchang University. Currently, he serves as Vice Dean of the College of Resources and Environment, Nanchang University, Standing Member of the Volatile Organic Compounds Pollution Prevention and Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and Member of the Energy and Environment Professional Committee of the Chinese Energy Society.

Taking the opportunities of national strategies such as "Beautiful China Initiative" and "Carbon Neutrality and Carbon Peaking", he engages in teaching and research work related to air pollution control and greenhouse gas resource utilization. He has presided over and completed more than 20 national and provincial-level projects, including the National Key R&D Program Projects (Young Scientists Projects and sub-projects), Youth and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Youth Program of the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and Jiangxi Provincial Key R&D Program Projects.

He has published more than 120 papers in high-level environmental/chemical engineering journals such as Nature Communications, Chem, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Materials, Environmental Science & Technology, and Applied Catalysis B: Environmental. His papers have been cited more than 4,000 times with an H-index of 43. His research achievements won one Second-Class Award of Natural Science in the 2023 Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards. He successfully organized the 2021 National Annual Conference on Collaborative Prevention and Control Technology of Volatile Organic Compounds Pollution under the Goal of Carbon Neutrality and the 2024 Nanchang Youth Symposium on Pollution and Control Chemistry.
